Operational Performance Officer
Are you an experienced and highly organised professional who thrives on turning information into action and helping services perform at their best? We are looking for an Operational Performance Officer to play a central role in delivering our Planning Service Improvement Action Plan and supporting a consistent, efficient and customer-focused service. This is an exciting two-year fixed-term opportunity to make a visible impact at a key point in the service’s development.
Working closely with the Head of Planning, Economic Development and Climate Change and managers across the service, you will co-ordinate, monitor and report on performance, improvement actions and key deadlines. You will develop effective dashboards and tracking systems covering areas such as key performance indicators, planning appeals, complaints and Freedom of Information requests, providing accurate and meaningful management information to support decision making. You will also act as a central co-ordination point for the service, provide high-level PA support to the Head of Service and identify opportunities to improve processes through technology, automation and artificial intelligence.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in a senior administrative, office management or co-ordination role, including providing high-level PA support and managing multiple priorities and deadlines. You will have experience of working in a planning or regulatory service, strong analytical and advanced Microsoft Office skills, and the confidence to communicate effectively with colleagues, senior managers, elected Members and external organisations.
The post is offered on a full time, 24 month fixed term contract (36 hours per week).
