Regulatory Support Officer

As a Regulatory Support Officer, you will provide technical and administrative support across food hygiene and safety, health and safety, infectious disease control, animal licensing and public health services. You'll liaise with businesses, residents and partner organisations, support investigations and projects, maintain accurate records, and help ensure the Council meets its statutory responsibilities.
We're looking for an organised and proactive individual with strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail. You'll be confident dealing with a wide range of people, able to prioritise competing demands, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. Experience in a similar customer-focused role would be beneficial, along with a willingness to learn, an analytical approach to problem solving, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.
The post is offered on a permanent basis (36 hours per week).

The Council operates a hybrid working system where employees may work up to three days per week from home.
