Are you looking for a new challenge with a chance to develop a career in Local Land Charges?

The Legal department of the Council have a vacancy for a Local Land Charges and Address Assistant. This post offers you the ability to learn about the Property Search industry and Street Naming and Numbering.

The role will involve managing the Local Land Charges; helping solicitors and conveyancers with their enquiries; assisting with new street naming and numbering requests; ensuring ‘new address consultations’ are carried out efficiently; liaising with different departments within the Council to ensure the latest information is captured; attending onsite inspections to help identify locations, as well as other general office duties.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who possesses a keen willingness to master new systems and the ability to work on their own initiative. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to carry out tasks accurately and professionally.  The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an administrative role, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), and will need to demonstrate a keen eye for detail whilst working under pressure to meet deadlines.

The post is offered on a permanent, part time basis (20 hours per week).

The Council operates a hybrid working system where employees may work up to three days per week from home.
